The Edge of Reason

i began to realize something as i sat on the wall and watched the guy in the lane next to me put on his paddles, pull buoy, and fins, and that is that no matter where i go or what i do in life, i will never escape stupid people. i half-expected him to strap his gear bag around his neck and tie a few gatorade jugs to his waist. they are all around us, people, and if you don't think that's true...you're one of them.

maybe if he didn't wear fins he would just 'swim in place'. the buoy was for drag and the paddles so his arms would get a better work out. hey anybody can justify anything. maybe he had a better reason than "i saw joe with fins, amy with paddles, and mike with a buoy, so all three must be better". at least he is trying to get a workout and isn't a couch potato. btw, what were you doing sitting on a wall. lol, luv ya.
